Why the Academy Awards is a novelty and it’s opinions do not hold as much merit as it is given

Do not abandon hope, The Academy Awards is overrated and is not actually responsible for the Cinematic Cannon thank god. It’s awards are mere guidelines, it’s deliberations are based  on small amount of people, un-named who probably are not  skilled critics or fantastic film makers.

Roger Federer 2nd Round upset

No Nadal, no Tsonga and now no Federer; Djokovic is staying world number one and now Andy Murray has a chance no, an opportunity of being Wimbledon champion….. I hate that guy !! He has a nice backhand and he sure can run plus i can say his being coached by “Ivan”, but still. I like Djokovic though i hope he stops it all from happening.

The Last of Us first play through reflection

Just finished the Last of Us! I really recommend it. Man is there a word or phrase that more defines a visceral experience like that? The game gets to your heart in two ways: one way is your on this non-stop-roller-coaster-thrill-ride, there’s something about necessity and a severe lack of resources that just gets your heart pounding and that game just abuses the hell out that to its full extent; the other way is that the game does a fantastic job of getting you(at least for me) to be so hopelessly attached to these characters that you want to be as ignorant as possible to the idea of them dying or having to say goodbye and never seeing a sequel(it’s pretty obvious that there is a slim chance of a sequel, the ending is very appropriate, high five for ambiguity in a game). The only way you could capture fear and desire more is if you could find a couple of red necks and somehow a team of U.S soldiers to hunt you down in a race across America: real world style with real bullets and real guns, one head shot and you die for life. Pretty sure this is going to be the first of many games(most likely copying it): a medium evolves and makes a great step forward.

A poem i wrote in year 10 but someone told me it’s more of a short story

Unstoppable? By Ivan Reyes LG2B

Daedalus watched from the midst of the heavens:
An entity born in the hands of purity lies with a burden of empathy.
Empathy, for his children that toil and cry
For a great monster lurked unseen in the darkness of daylight.
This monster’s green venom dripped over the cuts of humanity and enveloped its entirety.

The thing like a poisonous snake wrapped its self amongst the consciousness of children
And one by one picked out hopes, joys and aspirations; life’s coveted scent.
With the density of wind the monster remains unseen, untouched and always ever-present;
The presence of the being is marked by a never-ending ballad if forever the ballad is sung so will the being remain.

Daedalus stood on the edge of Olympus and reached out to help a child caught by the ballad, But so forth as he saves the one child the monster became stronger,
And devoured a thousand souls
Persistent Daedalus never stopped and reached another and another:

His work remains useless.

Daedalus yelled out HOW CAN I STOP THIS ballad!
But the god dropped down as he noticed that the people themselves were singing the daemon’s bard.
Mocked And Defeated.
It was then that the God realized that saving this lost flock is no longer his conquest
It has always been humanity’s simple rite of passge to stop singing a chant who of what is most precious it demanded The God waited a million years, but never do they see,
To this day the God wandered why the people could never surpass the test;
A daemon walks the street at noon to eternity.
